We're Soph and Julie, the duo behind Be Sélene. Picture this: two Frenchies who met down under in Australia over a decade ago. We instantly clicked, bonding over our love for fashion, sustainability, and all things fabulous.

Fast forward to April 2020, the era of Covid chaos. 

We took a breather to chat about what truly mattered to us. Already early adopters of period undies, we weren't thrilled with the options available in Australia. We sensed something was missing—something to make us feel fabulous even during our periods.

After extensively exploring available products and not finding anything that resonated with us, we decided to embark on creating our own. And so began the Be Selene adventure! Our mission was clear: to create stylish and sustainable period undies.

Collaborating with a Designer who embraced a French flair, we ensured that the aesthetics matched our vision, refusing to compromise on style. When it came to materials, we wanted something chemical-free and oh-so-comfy, leading us straight to organic cotton.

The decision to manufacture our undies in Australia was close to our hearts. We were adamant about maintaining ethical working conditions and sustainable practices throughout the production process. This choice also let us support local small businesses and foster a sense of community.

The journey has been a wild three-year ride, navigating the challenges of finding the right manufacturer. Yet, here we are today, bursting with pride for our products and collaborators,  ready to embark on this new chapter with you.
